As you read this, Stefan and I are boarding a plane and heading away on vacation for the next nine days. I can’t even tell you how much I’m looking forward to it. We’re headed to Barcelona for four nights (beach/relaxation/us time) and then to Northern Ireland to see our dear friends (and their adorable kids.) It’s still in the seventies in Barcelona, so I’m really hoping for a nice beach day or two. I’m excited to be as far away from my laptop as possible. Unplugging is so important, and though I say it all the time, I rarely actually do it!
I have to confess an idiot moment. On Wednesday night, I realized that my passport had expired. After quite a few tears and a major freak out, I did some research and found a service that did same-day passport renewal. Thank god. Everything ended up working out… I’m so grateful that it did – for a minute, I was certain that our vacation was not going to happen.
Things will be business as usual over here… I scheduled everything in advance so that you’ll have a fun-filled week of content over here. (I also set all of my social media in advance… nerd alert.) Tuesday’s DIY is a good one… I hope you love it as much as I do!
And so my friends, it may look like I am here, but in fact I am far, far away. Picture me sipping sangria, noshing on tapas, or playing with two adorable blonde toddlers (with the cutest Irish accents.) And of course, follow along on Instagram. In my book, Instagram is always allowed – unplugging or not.
PS – I would love to hear your recommendations for things to do/see/eat/buy in Barcelona!
