Week in Review… 2/17/12

This has been one busy week.  Miami was amazing, and then it was back to work!  I’ve been busy playing catch-up.  The boyfriend and I had a really romantic, cozy Valentine’s Day at the Darby… wine, scrumptiousness, live jazz, and then an early night – I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening.  Another highlight of the week was dinner at Gemma with Alicia, Erica, & Lauren.  Major yum.  Last night, I was so tired that I fell asleep on the couch at 8pm.  That’s fashion week for you.  This weekend, it will be a lot more catch-up, and some (seriously much-needed) craft time.

A lil bit of important housekeeping.  I’m finally moving to WordPress.  The move isn’t scheduled until early March, but you’ll see some changes on S&S over the next month – I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.  The first change was removing Google Friend Connect.  (I’ve always found it to be a bit ugly, and when I switch to WordPress, it will no longer be compatible.)  If you follow me on GFC, there is a chance that you may no longer get my updates.  So… if you want to keep getting my updates, please either add S&S to your Google reader manually, or follow along via Bloglovin’!

I absolutely adore Erika of Small Shop Studio and was thrilled to see her home featured on The Glitter Guide this week!  Such incredible home inspiration…  especially since the boyfriend and I are in the middle of our apartment renovations now… her home = my dream home.
I cannot wait to try this heart-shaped bokah photo DIY on Globe Trotter Diaries.   It’s just so pretty.  I can see myself making home-made Valentines using this technique next year.
I’ll always adore Emily’s (of Cupcakes and Cashmere) style.  So I was excited to read this little WSJ Article, where she shares a few of her favorite styling tips.
Lastly, many of you have asked how I added the Instagram feed to my blog.  It’s easy!  Just install this little widget.
Happy Weekend, friends… I hope yours is wonderful.
